Janitor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing as needed.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all areas are well-kept.
• Handle industrial and commercial cleaning duties in accordance with safety protocols.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Support residential painting projects as required.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve cleanliness standards and respond to special cleaning requests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning supplies is beneficial.
