Janitor - 1st shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily maintenance and cleaning of all floors, walls, sinks, fixtures, bathrooms and toilets and other areas within the facility
• Periodic restocking of all cleaning and sanitary supplies
• Sanitization of bathrooms, sinks and equipment
• Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)
• Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, clean blinds and draperies)
• Waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas)
• Data entry in Maintenance and Cleaning Logs and records
• And other general maintenance work/assignments as needed

Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance and mechanical equipment repairs is a plus.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bilingual preferred; must be personable, articulate, knowledgeable & professional
• Minimum 2 year experience in housekeeping/janitorial service is required
• Must have strong attention to detail; knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment and tools
• Able to work in a fast-paced, customer service oriented environment.
• Able to function with a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy in handling any "complaint" situations
• Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Able to lift or move 25 lbs. or greater
