Janitor/Cleaner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring that all areas are safe and welcoming. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Janitor will perform a variety of cleaning tasks in commercial, residential, or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by replenishing supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Execute floor care duties such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas needing attention or maintenance.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed to support overall facility upkeep.
• Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and techniques is a plus.
• Experience in floor care, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
• Knowledge of residential painting or industrial cleaning processes is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team setting.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
