Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas are spotless, organized, and well-maintained. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Conduct routine janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
• Maintain and operate floor care equipment including buffers and polishers to ensure high-quality floor finishes.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, or reporting larger issues to facilities management.
• Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals or performing industrial cleaning tasks.
• Support facilities maintenance by ensuring all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
• Contribute to a clean and organized environment by adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care (buffing), industrial cleaning methods, and general custodial responsibilities.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary.
• Familiarity with safety standards related to chemical handling and industrial cleaning procedures.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
