Janitor/Cleaner (As-Needed)

Position Summary

We are hiring a Floater / As-Needed Commercial Cleaner to provide coverage at various client locations when regular team members are unavailable, when additional cleaning support is needed, or when new accounts are starting. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, flexible, and willing to work at different locations based on business needs.

The Floater Cleaner plays an important role in helping Moponic maintain high service quality and ensure our clients’ facilities are cleaned properly and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning coverage at various commercial client locations as needed
• Fill in for employee call-offs, vacations, open shifts, and special cleaning needs
• Perform routine janitorial and commercial cleaning tasks
• Clean restrooms, breakrooms, offices, classrooms, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wipe surfaces, empty trash, and restock supplies
• Follow site-specific cleaning instructions and scope of work
• Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, mopheads, rags, and supplies properly
• Report supply needs, maintenance concerns, damage, or safety issues
• Communicate with supervisors regarding shift completion and any issues encountered
• Check in and out as required using Moponic’s scheduling or timekeeping system
• Maintain a professional and dependable work ethic
• Support quality standards across multiple Moponic client sites

Requirements

• Prior janitorial, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred
• Must be dependable and willing to accept assignments at different locations
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to use a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and check-in/check-out
• Must be detail-oriented and committed to quality
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning tasks during the shift
• Must be willing to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience cleaning commercial offices, schools, churches, medical offices, or daycare facilities
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment
• Familiarity with restroom cleaning, floor care, trash removal, dusting, and supply restocking
• Ability to respond to short-notice shift opportunities
• Flexible availability across multiple days of the week

Schedule and Availability

This is an as-needed floater position. Hours may vary from week to week depending on client needs, employee call-offs, and available shifts.

Candidates with flexible evening availability and reliable transportation will be strongly considered.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
