Janitorial

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and dedicated Janitor to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout our restaurant and bowling alley. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning restrooms, dining and bowling areas, kitchens, and common spaces. In addition, there may be opportunities to assist the kitchen staff, servers, or mechanics as needed. Key Responsibilities:

- Greet customers warmly as they arrive.

- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking supplies, disinfecting surfaces, and mopping floors.

- Sweep and mop all floors across dining areas, lanes, kitchens, and entrances.

- Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly.

- Wipe down tables, counters, and high-traffic touchpoints.

- Vacuum carpets and rugs, particularly in lobbies or lounge areas.

- Clean windows and glass doors to ensure a streak-free finish.

- Dust and wipe down baseboards, vents, and furniture regularly.

- Promptly spot clean spills or messes, especially from food or drinks.

- Maintain supply stock and report low inventory of cleaning products.

- Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper chemical use.

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and accuracy of orders as needed.

- Follow health and safety regulations, alcohol control policies, and venue policies.

- Assist with training new staff as needed.

- Support servers or other areas when your workload allows.

- Stay productive during slower periods by preparing, cleaning, or tackling special projects as assigned by managers.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in customer service and a janitorial role is preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.

- Basic math skills for handling payments and tips.

- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.

- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus.

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

- High school diploma.

- 1-2 years of server experience.

- Food Handlers Card (preferred).

- Certification in responsible alcohol service (preferred).

Physical Requirements and Schedule:

- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

- Capability to work in a noisy and busy environment.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $16.90 per hour
