Janitorial Cleaner

We’re looking to hire a hard-working janitor who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our buildings.

The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done.

Responsibilities

• Dust/damp wipe furniture, desks, tables, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, shelves, chairs, phones, drinking fountains, etc.
• Clean lunchroom/kitchen where applicable
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed. Keep the supply area organized and clean
• Empty waste bins and recycling bins, transport to designated collection points
• Replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, etc.) if required within the contract
• Vacuum carpets and walk-off mats, including edges and behind furniture
• Mop floors with wet or damp mops
• Maintain and clean restrooms - mirrors, toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers, partitions
• Clean all entrance glass, inside and out, to remove smudges and fingerprints
• Notify supervisors or call the office of unsafe conditions

Minimum Requirements

• Position may require a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Legal work permit
• Desired >1 year of cleaning experience in commercial buildings
• Always follow safety procedures and protocols
• heavy lifting my be required
