Janitorial / Cleaner needed in Seguin - 10 hr rotating shifts

10 hrs shifts, we have a day shift and a night shift. Rotating days - work 2 days / off 2 days, work 3 days / off 3 days. 30 hrs one week and 40 hrs the next week. Shifts start at 6am for day shift and 6pm for the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of the facilities, including break areas, lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Maintain sanitation standards by applying proper chemical handling procedures while using cleaning agents safely and effectively.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning to uphold a spotless environment.
• Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure safe manual handling practices during heavy lifting or moving equipment.
• Use cleaning equipment correctly and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure operational efficiency.
• Adhere strictly to healthcare infection prevention and control protocols to minimize cross-contamination and promote a safe environment for all occupants.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience within a industrial / commercial settings.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to chemical handling, manual handling, and environmental services.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
• Familiarity with housekeeping procedures is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards colleagues and visitors.
• Experience with cleaning equipment such as buffers, extractors, vacuums, and sanitation tools.
• Ability to work rotating 10-hour shifts reliably while maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout each shift.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
