About the Job

Position: Janitorial Facilities Technician
Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
Type: Full-time | On-site | Day shift (10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday)
Pay: $16.89 – $18.16 per hour

Embark on a new career journey as an Espey Janitorial Facilities Technician, where you’ll support the production of transformers and power supplies used in military and industrial applications. In this hands-on role, you'll ensure our facility remains clean, safe, and well-maintained—providing essential support to both production and administrative teams.

Your reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safety will directly contribute to our ability to deliver high-quality, mission-critical products.

Key Responsibilities

Janitorial Duties:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces
• Remove trash and recycling; ensure proper disposal
• Refill supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
• Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks as needed

General Maintenance Tasks:

• Perform light maintenance duties as assigned
• Support upkeep of facility grounds and infrastructure
• Operate cleaning and light maintenance equipment safely

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work full-time with a consistent schedule
• Physically capable of performing job duties, including:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, or crawling as needed
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs
  • Using hands and fingers to handle tools and materials
  • Reaching, climbing ladders, and maintaining balance

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial or general maintenance roles
• Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
