Janitorial Services Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Services Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across a USPS building. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, residential, or industrial cleaning and possess strong attention to detail. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, floor care, and basic maintenance to ensure a hygienic environment for staff and visitors. Flexibility and reliability are essential qualities for success in this position. Cleaning schedule is between 10am to 3pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in assigned areas
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain surface quality
• Handle custodial tasks in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring high standards of cleanliness
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of cleaning equipment
• Maintain safety protocols during all cleaning operations to prevent accidents or hazards
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and tools efficiently and safely
• Support industrial cleaning projects that may involve specialized equipment or procedures
• Ensure all work areas are kept organized and stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, including commercial or industrial cleaning environments
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks and basic repair skills is preferred
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Reliable work ethic with a focus on punctuality and dependability
• Prior experience with residential painting or porter duties is a plus but not required

Pay: $18.50 per hour
