Janitorial Supervisor – Pittsburgh International Airport

Overview

Elite Management Janitorial Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Janitorial Supervisor to oversee operations at Pittsburgh International Airport. This is a key leadership role for a professional who brings strong janitorial management experience, preferably within airport or large-scale facilities, and is eager to contribute strategic input to help strengthen and grow our operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across multiple areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and specialized spaces such as laundry or hospitality zones
• Lead and motivate janitorial staff by providing clear instructions, ongoing training, and performance feedback to ensure consistent service quality
• Manage scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts, adapting plans as needed for special events or urgent cleaning requests
• Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness standards are met and identify areas for improvement or additional attention
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, health regulations, and company policies during all custodial operations
• Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment; coordinate procurement as necessary
• Document operational activities through reports and logs, communicating effectively with management regarding progress or issues
• Communicate effectively with management and client representatives
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of janitorial supervisory or management experience
• Experience in airport, hospital, or large commercial environments preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-security environment
• Knowledge of floor care, cleaning procedures, and safety standards
• Must be able to pass background check and obtain airport security clearance
• Proven supervising experience in custodial or janitorial services within commercial, hospitality, or hotel environments
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
• Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team effectively
• Experience with laundry services or housekeeper management is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
• Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and accountability in a fast-paced setting
• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management is desirable but not mandatory

Pay: $23.48 - $25.50 per hour
