Janitorial Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial spaces.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Carry out custodial duties including waste disposal, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing high-touch areas.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the functionality of the building.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.
• Provide porter services when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility.
• Execute industrial cleaning tasks in specialized areas as necessary to meet safety and cleanliness standards.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of floor care practices including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
• Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to interact positively with staff and visitors.
