Japanese Language Expert

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Japanese tutor oin our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping students of various levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) develop their proficiency in the Japanese language. As a Japanese utor, you will create tailored lesson plans, deliver one-on-one or group lessons, and provide constructive feedback to enhance students’ learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct private or group Japanese language lessons, adapting teaching methods to suit individual or group learning needs.
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons that cover all aspects of language learning: speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar.
• Assess students’ progress regularly and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
• Use a variety of teaching materials, including textbooks, multimedia, and real-world scenarios, to ensure effective language acquisition.
• Help students prepare for proficiency exams and other language-related assessments.
• Foster a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable practicing their language skills.
• Encourage active participation in class discussions, assignments, and exercises to build students' confidence.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents, if necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in language learning and teaching methods.
• Provide extra support and tutoring as needed outside of regular lessons.

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese.
• Bachelor's degree in Japanese, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in teaching or tutoring Japanese, with a focus on language acquisition and communication skills.
• Certification in teaching Japanese as a foreign language is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of students with different learning styles.
• Knowledge of Japanese culture, history, and contemporary issues to enrich lessons.

Skills and Abilities:

• Fluency in both Japanese and English (and vernacular languages, Bengali/Hindi, depending on student needs).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Patience and enthusiasm for teaching and helping students achieve their language learning goals.
• Ability to create a positive, motivating learning environment.
• Familiarity with digital tools and resources for online tutoring.
