Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Japanese Master Executive Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in authentic Japanese cuisine, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for excellence in food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure high culinary standards
- Develop and design authentic Japanese menus (sushi, sashimi, robata, ramen, tempura, etc.)
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality
- Manage food cost, inventory control, and supplier relationships
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Introduce seasonal and innovative Japanese dishes
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Japanese cuisine
- Proven experience as an Executive Head Chef in a Japanese restaurant
- Mastery of traditional Japanese cooking techniques
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation and premium seafood handling
- Leadership and team management skills
- Ability to manage kitchen budgets and control costs
- Excellent communication skills
- English proficiency required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary certification in Japanese cuisine
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume Japanese restaurants
