Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Japanese QA Engineer to support testing and quality assurance for a consumer-facing eCommerce platform. The role will focus on validating UI/UX, user journeys, workflows, and functional behaviour for Japanese market users.
The ideal candidate will ensure that the application delivers a high-quality, localized experience for Japanese customers, with accurate language usage, intuitive user interfaces, and smooth purchasing workflows.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual functional testing of the eCommerce platform across web and mobile environments.
- Validate UI/UX elements including layout, navigation, localization accuracy, and user interactions.
- Test end-to-end user workflows including:
- product browsing
- product search
- shopping cart management
- checkout and payment processes
- order confirmation and notifications
- Verify Japanese language content, translations, and localization quality within the application.
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and regression test suites.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX designers to ensure issues are clearly understood and resolved.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience.
- Participate in UAT testing and release validation cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of QA or software testing experience
- Fluent Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2 or N1 preferred)
- Strong understanding of UI/UX testing and user journey validation
- Experience testing eCommerce platforms or consumer-facing applications
- Experience creating test cases, test plans, and defect reports
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development environments
- Experience using test management and bug tracking tools
- Strong attention to detail and usability perspective

- Experience testing mobile apps (iOS / Android)
- Familiarity with automation testing tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
- Experience with localization testing for Japanese markets
- Knowledge of payment gateway testing and checkout flows

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Permanent
Pay: $12,000.00 - $15,000.00 per year
