Java Backend Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to building scalable, high-performance backend services for our digital banking platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java and Spring Boot , building microservices-based architectures , and developing secure, scalable APIs. You will work closely with product managers, architects, and frontend engineers to deliver reliable and efficient backend systems that power modern digital banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot .
• Build scalable microservices architectures supporting high-volume digital platforms.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.

System Architecture

• Contribute to system design and backend architecture decisions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of backend services.
• Implement secure coding practices aligned with enterprise security standards.

Integration

• Integrate backend services with internal systems and third-party platforms.
• Work with messaging systems such as Kafka or other event-driven technologies.

Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes .

Performance & Quality

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 3–7 years of experience in Java backend development .
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture .
• Proven experience building REST APIs .
