About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer to support the development and integration of backend services for an enterprise AI voice and AI agent solution.

The successful candidate will develop Java applications, APIs and backend functionality that connects AI agents with existing enterprise systems.

This is an opportunity to work on a major technology project for one of the world’s largest companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
• Implement application business logic, authentication and data-processing functionality.
• Support integrations between AI agents and enterprise applications.
• Work with relational databases and SQL.
• Investigate and resolve backend defects, performance issues and integration problems.
• Write clean, maintainable and properly documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and deployment activities.
• Work closely with integration engineers, QA engineers and project stakeholders.
• Support user acceptance testing and production deployment.
• Maintain technical documentation for developed APIs and services.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum three years of professional Java backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Good understanding of JSON, authentication, error handling and backend architecture.
• Familiarity with Git and standard software-development practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work within an existing codebase.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with WebLogic or other enterprise application servers.
• Experience with microservices or service-oriented architecture.
• Familiarity with WebSockets and real-time applications.
• Experience integrating Java applications with SAP, CRM or other enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, CI/CD or cloud platforms.
• Exposure to AI services, voice technology or conversational AI is an advantage.

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly salary of SAR 7,000–11,000, based on experience and overall fit.

Contract and Visa Information

The position is initially offered on a three-month contractual basis. The project may be extended to six months, with the possibility of the role becoming a full-time position.

For eligible candidates based outside Saudi Arabia, the company can assist with business visa processing for the project. Please note that Iqama sponsorship or Iqama transfer is not available.

Candidates who are available to join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.

Pay: ﷼7,000.00 - ﷼11,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
