JCB 4CX Operator (Zagre, Croatia)

Key Responsibilities

• Operation of Heavy Machinery: Operate the JCB 4CX backhoe loader and its attachments to perform tasks such as excavation, trenching, backfilling, grading, leveling, and material transportation.
• Site Management: Coordinate with site supervisors and engineers to ensure smooth workflow, follow project plans, and adhere to site safety regulations and traffic guidelines.
• Maintenance and Checks: Perform routine pre-operation and post-operation checks, including inspections of the hydraulic systems, fluid levels, brakes, and lights. Conduct basic maintenance tasks like fueling, greasing, and cleaning, reporting any faults or abnormal signs to management immediately.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety standards, local regulations, and environmental guidelines. This includes proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and implementing dust suppression or spill control measures.
• Material Handling: Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and debris, ensuring proper load balance and distribution.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily operation logs, fuel usage records, and summaries of working hours and completed jobs.

Requirements and Skills

• Certification: A valid JCB or heavy equipment operator license/certification is typically required.
• Experience: Proven experience operating heavy machinery, specifically backhoe loaders, is essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of basic mechanical procedures for maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, acute attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols are necessary for effective site coordination.
• Physicality: Physical fitness and the ability to work in various, often challenging, outdoor weather conditions and loud environments are required.
