JCB operator

A JCB Operator is responsible for operating JCB/backhoe loaders and other heavy equipment for excavation, trenching, loading, grading, backfilling, and earthmoving activities on construction sites while following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate JCB machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform excavation, trenching, leveling, grading, and loading work.
• Move soil, debris, rocks, and construction materials.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Report mechanical faults and safety hazards.
• Follow site plans, supervisor instructions, and HSE regulations.
• Maintain work logs and equipment records.
• Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and ground workers.

Requirements

• Valid heavy equipment/JCB operator license (as required by local regulations).
• Experience operating JCB/backhoe loaders.
• Knowledge of construction site safety procedures.
• Ability to read work instructions and site drawings.
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors.
