Job Description

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist that will be responsible for identifying, grading, evaluating and pricing diamonds, jewelry, precious metals, coins, watches, and gemstones. In this role you will need to have excellent communication skills and should be comfortable working with the public. Must be an extremely organized self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced work environment.

Your Role At CGDE:

Responsible for purchasing jewelry and other precious metals/coins from the public in a high-volume location

Work with customers to educate and authenticate jewelry to include diamonds, designer pieces, coins, gemstones, and gold fashion to then present competitive offers.

Responsible for identifying color, clarity, size and any treatment of diamonds utilizing industry standard and specialty equipment. (equipment provided)

Enter specifications, including product category, description, condition, weights, and measurements into POS.

Qualifications:

2+ Years in Jewelry Industry with Retail Experience (required)

2+ Years of evaluating coins, jewelry, and diamonds (required)

Passion for being in the jewelry and coin industry

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of jewelry industry pricing trends and authenticity

Basic computer and data entry skills

Ability to lift up to 25lbs

License/Certification:

  • Certifications via GIA, DCA, and etc. (Desired not required)
