We are seeking a seasoned
Jira Administrator
to join our team in
Abu Dhabi, UAE
, to manage and administer the Jira platform ensuring smooth operation, customization, and integration with other tools, supporting project management and agile development.
Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end administration of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Advanced Roadmaps across all ventures and regions.

Maintain and enhance workflows, screens, schemes, custom fields, automations, and permissions in line with our governance standards.

Configure and optimise the full work hierarchy (Initiative → Epic → Feature → Story/Task → Sub-task) to ensure clean reporting and traceability.

Build, govern, and maintain dashboards, JQL filters, and portfolio-level reports for Ops, PMO, Tech, and executive teams.

Partner with cross-functional teams (Tech, PMO, CX, HR, Operations) to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Jira configurations.

Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve user queries, and maintain system stability, performance, and data integrity.

Administer RBAC controls, user provisioning, groups, and project permissions to maintain secure, compliant access.

Maintain JSM portals, request types, queues, SLAs, and automations supporting the ideation → discovery → MVP intake model.

Deliver user training, documentation, and quick-reference guides to drive consistent usage across business units.

Lead quarterly governance reviews with PMO — auditing hierarchy usage, workflow compliance, naming standards, and data quality.

Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, data protection, and security standards.

Coordinate with software developers, QA teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to optimize Jira usage.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in Jira administration including deep knowledge of Confluence, Advanced roadmaps, automation for Jira & RBAC Control

Strong experience with complex workflows (Scrum + Kanban).

Proven ability to manage multi-level hierarchies and strict governance frameworks.

Strong understanding of integrations (Azure DevOps required).

Ability to troubleshoot system performance, indexing, and project misconfigurations.

Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
-
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
-
Strong understanding of Jira workflows, permission schemes, and system customization.
