Job Description – Senior Estimator

Position Level: Fit out / Civil - Estimator

Position Summary

The S Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for Residential Villas, Commercial Buildings, and Interior Fit-Out projects. The role involves analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure competitive and profitable pricing aligned with RBIC’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tendering & Estimation

- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents thoroughly.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, architectural, MEP-coordination items, and complete fit-out works.

- Develop comprehensive BOQs, material take-offs, and quantity measurements.

- Request, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.

- Prepare cost breakdowns, tender summaries, and pricing sheets for management approval.

2. Cost Analysis & Budgeting

- Prepare project budgets and cost plans for awarded projects.

- Conduct value engineering to provide cost-effective solutions.

- Identify cost risks and propose mitigation measures for pricing decisions.

- Update pricing databases, unit rates, and market benchmarks regularly.

3. Coordination & Communication

- Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and operations teams for accurate inputs.

- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing and technical clarifications.

- Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with management and clients when required.

4. Documentation & Submissions

- Prepare and compile complete technical and commercial tender submissions.

- Ensure all documents comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and client standards.

- Maintain well-organized records of estimates, clarifications, assumptions, and revisions.

5. Post-Tender Activities

- Assist management during negotiations and clarification meetings.

- Revise tender pricing based on updated drawings or instructions.

- Support the project team with cost-related inputs during project kickoff.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of civil construction, villa development, and fit-out works.

- Expertise in quantity take-offs and estimating software (Planswift, CostX, Excel).

- Understanding of market rates, material specifications, and construction methodologies.

- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tenders simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or related field.

- Minimum 4–8 years UAE experience in estimation.

- Experience working with UAE contracting & Fit-Out companies is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Fit-Out Estimator : 3 years (Preferred)
• Civil Contracting Estimator : 3 years (Preferred)
