Job Description – Quality Inspector (Furniture Manufacturing)

Position Overview
The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications. This role involves identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to implement corrective actions that maintain product quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct detailed inspections of finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.

· Use appropriate inspection tools and equipment to perform accurate measurements and assessments.

· Identify, document, and segregate defective parts, inconsistencies, or deviations from required standards.

· Perform random inspections during different stages of production to ensure process compliance.

· Measure dimensions and verify specifications of semi-finished parts and components.

· Document inspection results using standardized checklists and prepare comprehensive reports.

· Maintain inspection logs, records of defects, and the disposition of non-conforming products.

· Issue certificates of conformance for products that pass final inspection.

· Conduct sampling inspections of incoming raw materials to ensure supplier compliance.

· Work closely with production teams to address defects in real-time and ensure timely rework or corrective action.

Qualifications & Skills

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Quality) or equivalent technical background.

· Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing/production environment.

· Strong knowledge of inspection tools, measuring equipment, and quality control standards.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and reporting abilities.

· Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is an advantage.
