Job Title: Transport & Fleet Maintenance Incharge

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Transport & Fleet Maintenance Incharge to lead our transportation operations and fleet management efforts. Duties

• Manage and coordinate the maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles, ensuring timely repairs and inspections to maximize vehicle uptime and safety.
• Oversee transportation planning activities, including route optimization, dispatching, and freight management to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and GPS technology to monitor vehicle locations, improve routing accuracy, and support real-time decision-making.
• Implement and maintain transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine for effective data entry, tracking, and reporting.
• Supervise shipping & receiving processes, ensuring compliance with logistics standards and accurate documentation using AS400 systems.
• Conduct analysis of fleet performance data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and enhanced service levels.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for freight handling, shipping schedules, and delivery tracking.
• Maintain high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills when liaising with drivers, vendors, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems.
• Oversee the use of supply chain tools like transportation planning software to streamline operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensure proper documentation through data entry tasks related to fleet management, shipping & receiving logs, and inventory updates.

Experience

• Proven experience in fleet management or transportation operations within a logistics or supply chain environment.
• Strong familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or equivalent platforms like SyteLine.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets using analysis skills to improve operational efficiency.
• Experience with GPS tracking systems, GIS applications, and route optimization tools.
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures, shipping & receiving protocols, and 3PL coordination.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in data entry using systems like AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
• Familiarity with fleet maintenance practices, dispatching procedures, and transportation planning strategies.
• Ability to multitask efficiently using multi-line phone systems while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
