Joinery and Interior Draftsman

Job Title: Draftsman (Joinery & Fit-Out)

Obelisk Interiors is expanding with a newly established joinery division, and we are looking for a detail-oriented Draftsman to join our growing team. This role will support our joinery workshop primarily, fit-out projects, and the upcoming interior design function, playing a key part in turning concepts into accurate, buildable drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings for manufacturing and installation
• Produce interior fit-out and basic interior design detail drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details, etc.)
• Develop drawings from sketches, concepts, and design briefs
• Take site measurements when required and verify dimensions before and during the drafting process
• Coordinate with the joinery, fit-out, and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate and buildable
• Support the future interior designer with technical drawings and detailing
• Attend client meetings when needed to understand design briefs and technical requirements
• Revise and update drawings based on site conditions, feedback, and coordination needs
• Maintain organized drawing records and documentation

Requirements & Skills:

• Proven experience in joinery drafting and detailing (essential)
• Very good working knowledge of SketchUp (mandatory)
• Ability to prepare interior design and fit-out detail drawings (not expert level , but must be solid and reliable)
• Good understanding of materials, finishes, and construction methods
• Design capability is a strong plus
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• Comfortable communicating with clients and understanding design briefs
• Willing and able to visit sites, take measurements, and verify dimensions
• Detail-oriented, organized, and practical in approach
• Able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
