Joinery Designer (SolidWorks / Creo)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Joinery Designer proficient in SolidWorks and Creo Parametric to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for furniture, interior fit-outs, and custom joinery projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the production team to ensure designs are precise, functional, and manufacturable.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings of furniture, fixtures, and interior joinery using SolidWorks and Creo

Convert design concepts, sketches, and client requirements into precise CAD models

Prepare material specifications, cut lists, and BOMs (Bill of Materials)

Ensure designs comply with manufacturing capabilities and standards

Collaborate with production, site, and project teams for design feasibility and execution

Update and maintain design documentation and revisions

Review existing designs to improve functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics

Stay updated on design trends, materials, and CAD software advancements

Requirements & Skills

Proficient in SolidWorks and Creo Parametric (mandatory)

Strong knowledge of joinery, carpentry, furniture, and interior fit-out design

Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings

Attention to detail and high accuracy in design

Problem-solving skills and creativity in material and design solutions

Good communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

2–5 years of experience in joinery/furniture design using CAD software
