Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Engineering Degree (required): The candidate must hold a relevant engineering degree, preferably in a field related to architecture, civil engineering, or interior design, to ensure a strong technical foundation in the field of fit-out and joinery.
- 3-4 Years of Hands-On Experience (required): The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of practical experience in preparing detailed shop drawings based on the final Bill of Quantities (BOQ). This experience will include accurately interpreting specifications and creating high-quality technical drawings that align with the project’s requirements.
- Ability to Raise Queries/RFI (required): The candidate must be able to identify any gaps, ambiguities, or clarifications needed in the project’s documentation. They will be responsible for raising formal queries or Requests for Information (RFIs) to the Project Consultant/Client. This involves communicating effectively to clarify design, scope, or technical issues, ensuring that all necessary adjustments are made and incorporated into the final joinery drawings.
- Strong Communication Skills (required): Effective communication, both written and oral, is crucial. The candidate should be able to articulate technical details clearly, provide updates to clients, and ensure smooth communication with all stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and suppliers. Proficiency in English is essential for drafting emails, reports, and correspondence.
- UAE/GCC Experience (required): The candidate must have prior experience working in the UAE or GCC region. Knowledge of local building codes, construction practices, and regulations is essential for ensuring compliance with regional standards and expectations.
