Joinery Draftsman - Al Quoz

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Draftsman specializing in joinery and woodworking. The ideal candidate will lead and supervise a team of draftsmen while working closely with production, design, and site teams to deliver precise, high-quality technical and shop drawings. This role requires strong technical expertise, proven leadership ability, and the capacity to manage multiple project requirements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of draftsmen, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards
• Prepare detailed and accurate shop drawings for bespoke joinery works, including wardrobes, doors, wall cladding, counters, and cabinetry
• Review and approve drawings prepared by junior draftsmen to ensure alignment with project specifications and standards
• Translate interior design and architectural concepts into clear, fabrication-ready shop drawings
• Coordinate closely with production, procurement, and site teams to ensure drawings meet manufacturing and installation requirements
• Conduct site visits as required to verify measurements and assess site conditions
• Plan, manage, and monitor drawing schedules to ensure timely submission of all deliverables

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in joinery or woodworking, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other 3D software is an advantage
• Strong understanding of joinery construction details, materials, hardware, and finishing standards
• Proven ability to lead a drafting team and consistently produce high-quality technical drawings
• Excellent capability to interpret architectural and interior design drawings
• Capable of doing detail joinery drawings including Doors, cabinetry, wall cladding, furniture etc.
