Joinery Draftsman Al Quoz

We are looking for a highly competent and experienced Draftsman/Senior Draftsman with a strong background in joinery and woodworking. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of draftsmen while closely coordinating with production, design, and site teams to produce accurate, high-quality technical and shop drawings. This position demands advanced technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and guide a team of draftsmen to ensure drawing accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable standards
• Prepare precise and comprehensive shop drawings for custom joinery works, including wardrobes, doors, wall cladding, counters, and cabinetry
• Review and approve drawings prepared by junior draftsmen to ensure conformity with project requirements and specifications
• Convert architectural and interior design concepts into clear, detailed, and fabrication-ready drawings
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and site teams to ensure drawings align with manufacturing and installation needs
• Conduct site inspections when necessary to confirm measurements and evaluate site conditions
• Plan, manage, and track drawing schedules to ensure all deliverables are completed and submitted on time

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in joinery or woodworking, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other 3D software is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials, hardware, and finishing standards
• Demonstrated ability to lead a drafting team and consistently deliver high-quality technical outputs
• Excellent skill in interpreting architectural and interior design drawings
• Capable of doing detail joinery drawings including Doors, cabinetry, wall cladding, furniture etc.
