Joinery Draughstman cum Production Incharge- Interior Fitout

A leading interior fitout company looking for an experienced joinery draughstman cum production incharge to handle the joinery production factory.

Minimum 5 years experience required

• Autocad, 3 D, Google sketchup, Adobe experience required
• Capable of preparing drawings, shop drawings, production drawings and design
• capable of preparing cutting list

As a joinery draughstman cum production incharge in an interior fit-out company, your primary role is to oversee and manage the production process of interior fit-out projects. Your responsibilities may include:

Project Planning: Collaborate with the project management team to develop a production plan, considering timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates. Ensure that the plan aligns with the client's requirements and specifications.

Design and Documentation Review: Review the design and documentation provided by architects, interior designers, or consultants to ensure feasibility and compliance with manufacturing capabilities. Identify any potential design or engineering issues and propose suitable solutions.

Material Selection and Procurement: Work closely with the procurement team to identify and source materials required for the project. Evaluate material specifications, quality, and cost-effectiveness to ensure they meet the project requirements and budget.

Production Process Optimization: Streamline the production process to maximize efficiency and productivity. Identify areas for improvement, such as implementing lean manufacturing principles, optimizing workflows, and enhancing resource utilization.

Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that products meet the required quality standards and specifications. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Production Supervision: Oversee the day-to-day activities on the production floor, including monitoring progress, coordinating tasks, and assigning work to production staff. Ensure adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Equipment and Machinery Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure that all production equipment and machinery are well-maintained and functioning properly. Schedule routine maintenance activities and address any equipment breakdowns or malfunctions.

Health and Safety Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and practices. Conduct risk assessments, provide training on safety procedures, and implement measures to prevent accidents and occupational hazards.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, procurement, and installation teams. Regularly update stakeholders on production progress, challenges, and potential solutions.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to interior fit-out production. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and innovation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
