Joinery Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Joinery Estimator responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for bespoke joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out projects. The role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to evaluate material, labour, and production costs while ensuring commercially viable tender submissions and project profitability.

Responsibilities

· Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements for joinery and interior fit-out works

· Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, hardware, finishes, subcontractors, and overheads

· Carry out quantity take-offs for joinery items including cabinets, wardrobes, kitchens, doors, wall panels, and bespoke furniture

· Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed cost breakdowns

· Analyse project scope and identify discrepancies, risks, or missing information during tender stage

· Submit competitive quotations within tender deadlines

· Interpret architectural, interior design, and joinery shop drawings

· Evaluate joinery construction methods, materials, hardware, and finishing requirements

· Estimate fabrication, assembly, polishing, and installation labour hours

· Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors

· Maintain updated pricing databases for materials, labour, and subcontract services

· Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost efficiencies

· Propose value engineering options without compromising quality or design intent

· Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and project management teams to ensure estimates align with project and production requirements

· Participate in tender review meetings and project handover meetings for awarded projects

Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field

· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in joinery estimation or interior fit-out estimation

· UAE joinery or interior fit-out experience preferred

· Experience pricing high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial fit-out projects is an advantage

· Strong ability to read architectural and shop drawings

· Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials, hardware, and finishes

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, estimation software, and BOQ preparation

· Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial awareness skills

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills

· Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict deadlines

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
