Joinery & Interior Design Draftsman

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Draftsman with strong experience in interior fit-out and joinery works. The ideal candidate should have excellent technical drawing skills, good interior design understanding, and strong experience using SketchUp and AutoCAD.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing complete shop drawings, joinery details, engineering details, lighting layouts, flooring layouts, ceiling details, and coordination drawings for residential and commercial interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings for:
• Cabinets
• Wardrobes
• Vanities
• TV units
• Doors
• Wall cladding
• Custom furniture
• Decorative elements
• Prepare complete interior fit-out drawings including:
• Flooring layouts
• Ceiling layouts
• Lighting layouts
• Electrical coordination drawings
• Interior detailing
• Develop technical and engineering details for site execution.
• Coordinate with:
• Designers
• Site engineers
• Production team
• Joinery factory team
• Suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare material specifications and cutting details for production.
• Ensure drawings are practical, buildable, and aligned with site conditions.
• Revise drawings based on client comments, consultant comments, and site requirements.
• Conduct site measurements when required.
• Support the design team with SketchUp 3D models and presentation drawings.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in joinery and interior fit-out drafting in the UAE.
• Strong experience in:
• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Microsoft Office
• Good understanding of:
• Joinery production
• Interior fit-out works
• Material specifications
• Lighting and ceiling coordination
• Site execution requirements
• Ability to prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings independently.
• Good knowledge of construction details and engineering coordination.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
