Job Title: Joinery Production Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Production Engineer to support day-to-day operations in a busy joinery factory. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating production, monitoring quality, tracking output and costs, and ensuring products are completed on time and ready for installation.
The ideal candidate will work closely with internal departments and site teams to keep production running smoothly, reduce delays, improve efficiency, and ensure all work meets approved drawings, specifications, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
- Monitor production progress against timelines, targets, and project priorities
- Identify bottlenecks, delays, and inefficiencies and support corrective actions
- Ensure all manufactured products meet approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Implement and monitor quality control checks throughout the production process
- Make sure items are complete, correctly labeled, and ready for dispatch and installation
- Coordinate delivery sequence with site installation requirements and project progress
- Work closely with the Installation Team, Technical Team, and Purchasing Department
- Ensure materials, manpower, and resources are available as planned
- Track production output, revenue, material usage, and operating costs
- Prepare regular performance and financial reports for management
- Review production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Support better use of machinery, labor, and materials
- Help enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the factory
- Support preventive maintenance planning and help minimize machine downtime
- Maintain documentation, records, and traceability in line with IMS requirements
- Support ISO and IMS compliance, audits, and closure of non-conformities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related field
- 3–7 years of experience in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or a similar factory environment
- Strong understanding of production planning and factory operations
- Experience with financial tracking and revenue reporting
- Ability to work with CAD drawings, MS Office, and preferably CNC programming software
- Good analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a joinery or wood products factory with project-based production and installation coordination
- Familiarity with ISO-based integrated management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
- Exposure to preventive maintenance planning and production improvement initiatives
- Experience coordinating with technical, purchasing, installation, and quality teams
- Practical understanding of cost control, waste reduction, and productivity improvement
Pay: QAR12,000.00 - QAR13,000.00 per month
