Joinery Senior Carpenter

Job description

We are in search of a proficient carpenter who is well-versed in different carpentry methods. Your duties will encompass the planning and fitting, as well as the repair, refinement, and upkeep of a variety of constructions, fittings, and edifices. Additional responsibilities will involve crafting, sizing, and slicing materials to meet the specifications of our clients.

Work description:

• Schedule and oversee all aspects of the carpentry work on assigned projects, including materials, equipment, and workers
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of wood required, dimensions, and tools needed
• Mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements with hand and power tools
• Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
• Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, flooring, trim, or hardware, using carpenter’s hand or power tools
• Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard using paint, hand tools, or power tools
• Fit and install prefabricated window frames, doors, doorframes, cabinets, molding, and trim
• Inspect completed installations and conduct repairs as necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe work site
• Order and purchase supplies and materials as needed
• Supervise and train other carpenters or helpers as needed
