ABOUT THE ROLE

While this position has an emphasis on breaking news coverage and in-depth reporting, you'll be a full contributor to the newsroom. Coverage areas include — but are not limited to — general news, local politics, business and economic development, community events, tourism, features, education and health issues.

Regular work hours may vary to include nights and weekends.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous newsroom experience required.
• Photography and video experience required.
• Highly productive with strong time management skills.
• Willing to accept all assignments.
• Able to work effectively within a small, close-knit team.
• Entertaining and informative writing style.
• Open to coaching and new media models.
• Computer proficiency required; experience with Apple and Adobe products is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required.

This is NOT A REMOTE POSITION. Job is performed in Garland County, Arkansas. Successful candidate must work from our offices in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
