Journalist Technology & AI

We're hiring a journalist to cover technology and artificial intelligence across our portfolio of media brands. You'll report on the breakthroughs, trends, new software, and harder questions shaping the field, and turn complex developments into clear stories for a general audience. This is a paid position in a fast-moving business.

What you'll do

• Report and write timely news articles and features on developments in tech and AI
• Interview researchers, industry figures, and other sources for original insight
• Fact-check rigorously and write to AP style
• Edit and proofread your work to a publishable standard
• Produce supporting visuals where needed: photos, video, or simple graphics
• Help share and promote stories across social channels, and track what's gaining traction in the space

What we're looking for

• Strong, clear writing across news and feature formats
• Working knowledge of AP style
• Solid research and fact-checking instincts, plus a real grasp of journalism ethics
• Comfort with photography, video, and social media (or willingness to get there)
• Confidence interviewing experts and working with an editorial team
• The ability to hit deadlines without dropping quality
