Journeyman Carpenter

Our position is for a Journeyman-level Carpenter, not an apprentice.

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Journeyman Carpenter to join our high-quality residential and commercial construction team. We work mainly in the North Kona and the Kohala areas. Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Able to install doors, cabinets, hardware, trim, etc. with minimal oversight.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and physical stamina for working at various heights and tight spaces.
• Dependable, professional, and competent enough to work independently if the task dictates
• Ownership of and ability to operate both hand and power tools is a requirement of a Journeyman.
• Take pride in your craftsmanship, communication, commitment, and dedication to the team.
• Confidence in your Carpentry skills to solve a problem and make the right decision.

Job Requirements

• Must currently live in Hawaii County
• Must be punctual and have daily reliable transportation.
• Must have tools required to perform all types of carpentry work
• Must have a current valid HI State driver’s license, auto registration, and auto insurance
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings for new builds and remodel houses
• Good Math skills, and even better problem solver
• Capable of receiving and following instructions from Supervisors
• Wear required PPE and proper use of carpentry trade tools
• Ability to work Full-time Monday through Friday, with the occasional opportunity for overtime.
