Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automatic Door Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting automatic door systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that doors operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently, providing seamless access solutions for our clients. Responsibilities

• Install automatic door systems including sliding, swinging, and revolving doors using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal operation of all door components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to diagnose problems accurately.
• Repair or replace damaged parts such as sensors, motors, hinges, tracks, and frames with precision.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installation and repair processes.
• Perform glass installation, door hanging, metal stud framing, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation as needed on job sites.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to coordinate work schedules and ensure safety compliance on construction sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in glass installation, welding, carpentry, or related construction trades.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly.
• Experience with electrical systems or electrical troubleshooting is highly desirable.
• Construction site experience with a focus on remodeling or fixture installation preferred.
• Knowledge of locksmithing or metal stud framing is a plus; familiarity with remodeling projects is beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail; strong communication abilities are essential. Pay: $20.52 - $30.74 per hour
