Journeyman Electrician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work on various projects ranging from residential to commercial installations. You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems are installed and maintained according to industry standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Your expertise in reading blueprints and schematics will be essential for executing tasks efficiently and safely.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with NEC standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to perform electrical work effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure high voltage systems are handled safely and according to regulations.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time while maintaining safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety practices.
• Proficiency in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, hand tools, and power tools effectively.
• Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is essential.
• Experience working with high voltage systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
