Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on various construction sites, performing installations, and repairs of electrical systems. Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Perform renovations and upgrades to existing electrical systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local building codes during all work performed,
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial environments.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Strong understanding of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation effectively.
• Experience in frame carpentry or maintenance person tasks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
