SUMMARY

We are currently seeking sharp, skilled and motivated, experienced Journeyman Electricians for electrical construction on government installations up and down the Front Range

Performs a variety of tasks associated with the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment including new and remodel construction. Coordinates with various contractors, and provide detailed reporting of activities to management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Keep up with changing technology

Ensure employees follow policies and procedures

Motivate crew and project

Update and maintain accurate as-built drawings and panel schedules for their assigned task

Take accountability and responsibility for quality control and productivity in area ensuring employees do it safe, do it right, then work on speed

Communicate goals for the jobsite to employees working at all levels.

Communicate and coordinate with other trades for the projects.

Lead by example

Orientate employees to safety, logistics and scope on the jobsite

Participate in installing raceways, pulling wire, and mounting equipment, training apprentices.

Abide by Saber specifications, and contract documents for installations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Journeyman Electrician License and two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be skilled in installation, reading comprehension, active listening, troubleshooting and equipment selection. Candidates should have knowledge of building and construction, motor controls, mathematics, production and processing, public safety, security and design. Candidate must be a team player and work well with others.

Fire alarm experience, with a NICET Level I or II and flexibility to travel within 2 hours of Colorado Springs is preferred.

Ability to clear background checks. Construction experience with government contracts and on military installations is highly desired.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, blueprints, scale drawings, schematics, or governmental regulations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
