Journeyman Electrician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various facilities. Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Operate and interpret programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate and control machinery processes.
• Conduct welding tasks as needed for structural or electrical component fabrication and repairs.
• Perform facilities maintenance tasks, including electrical upgrades, system upgrades, and routine inspections.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and ensure system integrity.
• Read and follow detailed schematics to accurately execute wiring and circuit configurations.
• Supervise junior team members or apprentices during projects, providing guidance and leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Support manufacturing operations by ensuring electrical systems run smoothly with minimal downtime.
• Engage in customer service by communicating effectively with clients or internal teams regarding project status or technical issues.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized by relevant authorities.
• Extensive electrical experience in industrial, commercial, or residential settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to electrical components and systems.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
• Ability to perform welding tasks safely and effectively when required.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and CMMS software for work tracking.
• Knowledge of residential painting is a plus for multi-disciplinary projects involving building finishes.
• Supervising experience demonstrating leadership skills in managing teams or projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
