
Typical Duties:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment to support production and facility operations
- Diagnose electrical issues and replace defective components such as wiring, motors, breakers, relays, or control devices using appropriate tools and instruments
- Use test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.) to inspect, test, and verify system performance and safety
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to perform installations and repairs
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, coordinating with vendors or service providers as needed to obtain parts or technical support
- Install and assemble electrical systems, panels, conduit, and equipment in accordance with specifications and code requirements
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes and standards, including National Electrical Code
- Maintain and repair electrical control systems, including motor controls, VFDs, and PLC-related equipment
- Assist with modifications, upgrades, or retrofits to existing electrical systems to improve performance or reliability
- Document work performed, including repairs, parts used, and system updates, within maintenance or CMMS systems
- Troubleshoot and correct electrical issues to minimize downtime and support continuous operations
- Maintain inventory of electrical parts and materials and assist with procurement as needed
- Support preventative maintenance programs and follow established maintenance procedures
- Communicate with operators and team members regarding equipment operation, safety practices, and basic troubleshooting
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with electrical systems, safety practices, and industry developments
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
