Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues accurately.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and facility maintenance manuals to ensure precise work execution.
- Perform welding tasks when necessary for electrical or structural repairs, maintaining safety standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and facilities to minimize downtime.
- Supervise junior team members and coordinate with contractors during complex projects or repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting electrical issues that impact production efficiency.
- Assist with residential painting or minor facility upgrades as needed to support overall site maintenance.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a valid license or certification.
- Extensive electrical experience in industrial, commercial, or residential settings.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings is essential.
- Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), welding, and facility maintenance tasks.
- Ability to operate testing tools such as ohmmeters confidently for troubleshooting purposes.
- Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership in team settings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and customer service principles is advantageous.
