Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Electrician for our expanding team and service areas of Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties. As an Electrician, you will be a key member of our technical team, bringing your expertise to the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of electrical systems. The role requires a high level of skill, knowledge, and a commitment to delivering safe, code-compliant, and high-quality electrical work.

Installation and Maintenance:

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to specifications and electrical codes. Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and efficient completion of projects. Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality after installation or repair.

Technical Expertise:

Stay updated on industry advancements, electrical technologies, and best practices. Diagnose malfunctioning systems using testing equipment such as multimeters and other diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Repair or replace defective wiring, equipment, or fixtures and ensure proper system operation.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all work meets national and local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Conduct inspections and implement corrective actions as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation requirements.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent. Document issues, repairs, and completed work orders. Provide reports to supervisors, project managers, and clients as required.

Collaboration:

Work closely with apprentices, technicians, and other team members to complete projects efficiently. Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients. Respond to service calls and coordinate with dispatch as needed.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all electrical safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Use tools and equipment safely and properly. Participate in safety training and promote a safety-first culture.

Continuous Learning:

Pursue ongoing training and certifications to stay current with electrical codes and technologies.

Other Job Duties:

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Completion of or enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship or trade school program preferred

2–3 years of electrical experience preferred but not required

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of national and local electrical codes (NEC)

Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics

Valid driver’s license required

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Pay: $32.00 - $43.00 per hour
