Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols. This role involves working on various construction sites, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs while adhering to National Electrical Code standards.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with NEC regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct renovations and upgrades to existing electrical systems as required.
• Perform high voltage and low voltage electrical work safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide maintenance person services as needed for minor repairs or adjustments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician is essential.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical systems.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards for electrical work.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters effectively.
• Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of construction processes.
• Knowledge of frame carpentry is beneficial for integration with other trades on-site.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of electrical work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
