Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems safely and efficiently in accordance with NEC standards.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation applications.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure electrical work aligns with project plans and safety protocols.
• Conduct renovations by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure while minimizing disruption.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety procedures related to construction site work, framing carpentry, and general handyman tasks.

Requirements

• Valid journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification with proven experience as an electrician.
• Demonstrated industrial electrician experience along with commercial electrician background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics reading.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices necessary for electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical diagrams for complex electrical installations.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
• Additional skills such as frame carpentry or handyman experience are a plus but not required.
