Journeyman Electrician - Commercial (No Travel)

Williams Electric & HVAC is a fast-growing commercial electrical contractor serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. We specialize in commercial and light industrial projects including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, tenant finish-outs, and ground-up construction.

All of our work is local to the DFW area — no out-of-town travel required. We maintain a strong pipeline of commercial work across the metroplex with projects typically ranging from $200K to $2M+, providing steady work and long-term growth opportunities.

We are looking for experienced Commercial Journeyman Electricians who take pride in their work, can work independently, and want to be part of a company focused on quality, professionalism, and growth.

What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings
• Install conduit, wire, panels, switchgear, lighting, devices, and equipment
• Perform layout and coordinate installations with Foremen and other trades
• Work on commercial projects including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, tenant finish-outs, and ground-up construction
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Follow NEC requirements and company installation standards
• Identify and communicate field issues or material needs proactively
• Assist with training apprentices and less experienced electricians
• Work efficiently to maintain production and project schedules

What We’re Looking For

• Texas Journeyman Electrician License required
• 3+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation methods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Experience bending and installing EMT, rigid, and other raceway systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Dependable, motivated, and takes pride in quality workmanship
• Positive attitude and team oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ground-up commercial construction
• Experience operating lifts and jobsite equipment
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience in industrial or warehouse environments a plus
