Journeyman Electrician - Residential

Red Pine Electric is seeking a skilled and dependable Residential Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for residential projects including new construction homes, remodels, and service work.

We are looking for experienced electricians who take pride in producing clean, high-quality work and who can confidently manage tasks on active job sites. This is not an entry-level position — we are seeking professionals who can work independently, read and interpret plans accurately, and maintain strict safety standards while delivering excellent craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair residential electrical systems
• Perform electrical rough-in and finish work for new home construction
• Install service panels, breakers, lighting systems, switches, and receptacles
• Wire circuits for appliances, HVAC systems, and other residential equipment
• Read and interpret residential construction plans and electrical layouts
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and testing equipment
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
• Coordinate with project managers, builders, and other trades to meet construction schedules
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License
• Experience in residential electrical construction
• Strong understanding of NEC and residential wiring systems
• Ability to read and interpret residential plans and specifications
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and guide apprentices when needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with service upgrades and panel replacements
• Experience with custom homes or high-end residential builds
• Experience installing smart home or specialty lighting systems
• Ability to operate equipment such as lifts and ladders
