Pipefitter Job Responsibilities:

- Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial piping systems and components
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial and/or commercial pipefitting and welding experience required
- Must be able to pass a hands-on pipefitter assessment and/or weld test prior to hire
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and spool sheets
- Experience fitting and welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and other industrial piping systems
- Skilled in GTAW/TIG, SMAW/Stick, and/or MIG welding processes depending on project requirements
- Knowledge of industrial, commercial, and mechanical piping systems including steam, chilled water, hydronic, compressed air, and process piping systems
- Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, and applicable welding and piping codes
- Experience with rigging, threading, grooving, and pipe support installation preferred
- Ability to safely operate pipefitting and welding tools and equipment
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Must be able to pass background checks if required by customer or jobsite
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites is required
- Must maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and shutdown schedules as needed
- Must be willing to travel and work out of town when project demands require it
- Must possess all required PPE and basic hand tools for the trade
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, work at heights, and work in varying weather and industrial environments
- Must be able to work safely in confined spaces, elevated areas, and outdoor conditions
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ability to work well with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
- Safety-first mindset with strict adherence to company, customer, and OSHA safety policies
- TWIC card, welding certifications, OSHA 10/30, lift certifications, or additional site-specific credentials are a plus but not required
- Perform pipe layout, cutting, beveling, fitting, tacking, and welding according to project specifications and code requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, spool sheets, and field sketches
- Coordinate with supervisors, welders, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently
- Perform field measurements and assist with prefabricated piping installation and assembly
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Maintain clean and organized work areas while following all company and jobsite safety procedures
- Assist with shutdowns, turnarounds, maintenance projects, and fast-paced industrial work as needed
